Favorite software for....

Decreasing RSI symptoms through keyboard usage:

• My own Forked version of mxstbr's Karabiner config (MacOS)
• mouseless for ergonomic mouse controls.
• Vimium for Firefox and for Chrome, and if you want something more "global" I can recommend Shortcat for MacOS or a similar project for linux (though I myself haven't tested it)
• Raycast (MacOS) for a spotlight on steroids with plugins/extentions, a must-have for me on any mac-installation.
• Aerospace (MacOS) for managing windows and tiling windows and monitors.

Password Management and 2FA Management

• Bitwarden is cross-platform and self-hostable password manager that I've used for years. While it can also have TOTP/2FA keys I prefer to keep them as a separate app which is where....
• Aegis 2FA is used for 2FA keys, allows me to back up things via syncthing, or other cloud Cloud solutions. Also supports use on Mac via a raycast plugin.

Saving, backing up and syncing data between devices

• Syncthing for local sharing between devices
• ~~Nextcloud via Hetzner's Storage Share ~~
  • I don't use Nextcloud any more as of 2025-04-25, as I've found that I don't use it for much other than a few 100 gigs of storage. Still a solid option though.
